The Legal Pacesetters, LASU, is a legal organisation at Lagos State University. It was founded on June 11, 2020, by Owolabi, Yusuf Olatunji The Best Graduating student of the faculty of law set 2020/2021. It is duly registered with the appropriate body at Lagos State University, namely the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs. The organisation’s values and benefits are not only restricted to the students of Lagos State University but, by extension, to all Nigerian students.
The Legal Pacesetters, LASU has three major objectives, and all its activities and plans are tailored to the achievement of these objectives. The objectives are:

1. Academic Objective: We aim to achieve academic excellence not just for our members but also for other Nigerian students. To achieve this objective, we organize tutorials, mock tests, webinars, quizzes, etc., ensuring the core purpose of all university students – their academics.

2. The Legal Research and Writing Objective: This objective focuses on developing specific skills like legal research and writing in law students. We use our organisation as a medium to promote these skills nationwide, organising webinars, legal workshops, symposiums, among other activities.

3. The Humanitarian Objective: Centered on giving back to society, this objective goes beyond academics and skills development. The Legal Pacesetters is committed to contributing to humanity’s development by organising humanitarian outreach, campaigns, etc.

We are dedicated to furthering these three objectives to create a more significant impact in society and contribute to the nation’s development. Our commitment is reflected in our activities, consistently pursued in line with these key objectives, and we are known for our excellence in the legal space.
