Our vision was birthed on the basis that the 21st century legal profession would not be shaped by students passing law exams only, but by the ability to harness research skills and academic prowess for the purpose of leading a significant change in the legal profession. 

Since its inception, the firm has successfully channelled its activities towards actualizing the vision birthed at its inception through programs and structures which equip her partners with legal knowledge, practical experiences and professional skills to strive in any sphere of the legal profession. From our strategic legal workshops and periodic internships which creates opportunities for our partners to network in reputable law firms with outstanding legal practitioners with different areas of specialization; to our Equity Prize Of Advocacy Competition which consists of brief writing, debates, moot and mock competitions and our commendable Community Outreach Programmes through which Equity gives back to the society, Equity Law Firm sustains an environment which spurs healthy competition amongst our partners to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives.  

Equity Law Firm is distinct from other chambers because we function structurally and operatively like a Law Firm and we are known for pioneering new innovations into the faculty’s chamber systems such as our annual TechFest, which is a program that facilitates a synergy between technology, entrepreneurship and the Law and the biggest program of its kind in the entire University. Importantly, Equity Law Firm boasts of her own Career Advancement Academy which is an internal body in the firm with an ingenious course plan that creates an opportunity for our partners to be imparted with legal writing and drafting skills, communication skills, client care and practice support skills as well as digital skills. For us in Equity, the overall wellbeing of our partners is sacrosanct, and as such, our tutorials are tailored towards ensuring that our partners excel in their academic pursuits whilst building and advancing their careers. Like our motto says, Equity like nature indeed does nothing in vain.
