INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW SOCIETY, LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY

IPLS is the foremost students’ society in Lagos State University founded in 2020 by Favour Divine as well as other founding members, aimed at educating its members and the general public in the knowledge of Intellectual Property and contemporary events in the Intellectual Property space.

Furthermore, the society seeks to enhance the understanding of Copyright, Patent, Industrial design, Geographical Indications, Traditional knowledge, among a plethora of Intellectual Property rights. The society is opened to students from Faculty of Law, Art and Science.
Over the years, members of the society have excelled in both national and international competitions ranging from Intellectual Property Essay Competitions as well as International Debate competitions on Intellectual property.
In 2023, LSS sessional law dinner, the society was awarded as the best society in the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University. Also, In 2023, the society was awarded as the best society in the whole of South West region of Nigeria.
